SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- The Shepherd University tennis teams dropped a pair of matches to Salem at Shepherd on Tuesday. The Shepherd men (1-9) dropped a 6-1 decision and the women (2-8) took a 7-0 loss.

The men got a 7-5, 6-2 win at number one singles from junior Carter Davis (Harpers Ferry, W.Va./Martinsburg). Junior Kaleb Lochner (Shepherdstown, W.Va./Jefferson) and freshman Ryan Cox (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) added a 6-4 win at number two doubles.

The Shepherd men and women return to action on Saturday when they host UVa-Wise for a 1 p.m. match.
