LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Shepherd University softball team is ranked 19th in the final National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II Coaches Poll for June 5. The number 19 ranking is the highest ever in program history.
The Rams posted a record-setting 42-18 overall mark and won the Atlantic 1 Regional title before dropping a 4-3 contest to West Chester in the Super Regional championship game.
The 2019 NFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by 16 NCAA Division II head coaches with two representing each of the NCAA's eight regions.
