SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Chris McLaughlin scored three goals to lead to Felcian (1-3) to a 5-2 win over Shepherd (1-4) in men's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday.
Junior forward Carlos Castillo (Columbia/Blue Ridge CC) scored an unassisted goal at the mark to give the Rams a 1-0 advantage.
Felician took a 4-1 lead into the break as the Golden Falcons got two goals from Chris McLaughlin and single tallies from Leo Yang and Jorge Zerna.
Sophomore modfielder Ryan Bowman (Sharpsburg, Md./Williamsport) scored for the Rams at the 67:07 mark to cut the lead to 4-2.
McLaughlin added a late goal for the Golden Falcons to complete the scoring.
Felician had a 19-17 edge in shots and an 8-3 edge in corner kicks.
Freshman netminder Billy Wood (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) recorded five saves for the Rams. Alex Ficarra had 10 saves for the Golden Falcons.
The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Pitt-Johnstown for a 1 p.m. match.
