SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – David Hug scored an unassisted goal at the 12:58 mark to lift Findlay (1-0) to a 1-0 win over Shepherd (1-1) in men's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday.

Findlay had a 21-5 advantage in shots and an 8-4 edge in corner kicks.

Freshman goalkeeper Jose Machado Orrellana (Falls Church, Va./J.E.B. Stuart) recorded six saves for the Rams. Andrew Bolton had three saves for the Oilers.

The Rams return to action on Monday when they travel to Goldey-Beacom for a 4:30 p.m. contest.
