DUBOIS, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team fired a first round total of 297 to rank in third place in an eight-team field at the Hal Hansen Invitational at the Treasure Lake Silver Golf Course. Milllersville and West Chester are tied for the team lead with a 294. Shepherd senior Owen Elliott (Hedgesville, W.Va./Hedgesville/Marshall) and West Chester's Sean Rabbitt each carded a 69 to take the individual lead.

Elliott was followed by sophomore Gavin Bonievich (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (73, T-9th), sophomore Mason Kidwell (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (76, T-14th), freshman Brian Sadler (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) (79, T-27th), and sophomore Tyler Hardy (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (80, T-31st)).

The Rams return to action on Tuesday for final round play.
