SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- The Shepherd University men's tennis team (0-1) dropped a 4-3 decision to Shenandoah University (2-0) in men's tennis action at Shepherd on Friday afternoon.
The Rams got singles wins from junior Austin Cramer (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin), freshman Mason Palmer (Charles Town, W.Va./Jefferson), and junior Ryan Cox (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman). Cox and Palmer also teamed for a 6-3 win at number three doubles.
The Hornets got a 7-6 win a number two doubles to gain the hard-fought victory.
The Rams return to action on March 27 when they travel to Edinboro for a 1 p.m. match.
