NORTH EAST, Pa. – The Shepherd University women's golf team shot a 444 to place ninth in a nine-team field at the Mercyhurst Spring Invitational at Lake View Country Club on Monday. Gannon took the team title with a 321. Gannon's Sarah White downed Mercyhurst's Isabella Walter in a two-hole playoff to gain medalist honors. 

Freshman Amanda Deener (Middletown, Md./Frederick Christian Academy Homeschool Umbrella Program) fired a 101 to finish in 36th place to lead the Rams. She was followed by freshman Olivia Rosick (Purcellville, Va./Woodgrove) (109, 42nd), senior Serafina Maerten (Martinsburg, W.Va./Spring Mills) (116, 46th), and freshman Ciara Scafide (Knoxville, Md./Brunswick) (118, 48th).
