SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University Vice President for Athletics Chauncey Winbush announced today the 2021 Shepherd football schedule and the various associated events.
The Rams open the 2021 campaign on the road at Ohio Dominican for a Thursday night game on Sept. 2. Other road games include Gannon (Sept.11), IUP (Sept. 18), Lock Haven (Oct. 9), Millersville (Oct. 16), and Bloomsburg (Oct. 30).
Shepherd opens its home slate on Sept. 25 when they host Kutztown for Family Day. The 2016 MEC champion baseball team and the 2007 WVIAC champion softball team will be honored.
The Rams will host Shippensburg on Oct. 2 for Hall of Fame Weekend. During that game the 1985 WVIAC champion women's tennis team and the WVIAC champion men's tennis teams of 1977, 2002, 2006, 2007 will be honored.
Shepherd will host West Chester on Oct. 23 for Homecoming. The 1955, 1986, 1991, 2005, 2006 WVIAC champion football teams and the 2015 and 2016 MEC champion football teams will be recognized.
The Rams will host East Stroudsburg on Nov. 6 for Military Appreciation Day. The 1961 WVIAC champion men's swimming team, the 1991-92 WVIAC champion men's basketball team, and the 2015 MEC champion women's lacrosse team will be honored.
Shepherd will conclude its home schedule on Nov. 13 when they host Slippery Rock for Senior Day. All home games will kick off at noon.
