ERIE, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a first round total of 315 to rank 10th in a 12-team field at the Mercyhurst Invitational at the Lake View Country Club. Charleston currently leads the match with a first round score of 292.

Sophomore Chris Neighbors (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) shot a 77 to lead the Rams. Senior Mason Kidwell (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) and junior Tyler Hardy (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) each fired a 79. They were followed by senior Tyler Potts (Owings, Md./Northern/College of Southern Maryland) (80) and freshman Koke Dolce (Spicewood, Texas/St. Michael's Catholic Academy) (86).

The Rams return to action on Saturday for final round action.
