ERIE, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a first-round total of 310 to rank seventh in a 10-team field at the Howard "Bud" Elwell Fall Classic at the Whispering Woods Golf Club on Sunday. Gannon and Charleston each shot a 296 to share the first-round lead.
Senior Tyler Potts (Owings, Md./Northern/College of Southern Maryland) fired a 76 to tie for 17th place to lead Shepherd. He was followed by senior Mason Kidwell (Charles Town, W.Va.) (77, T-22nd), sophomore Chris Neighbors (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (78, T-26th), freshman Koke Dolce (Spicewood, Texas/St. Michael's Catholic Academy) (79, T-30th), and junior Tyler Hardy (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (84, T-46th), and
