LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- Junior quarterback Tyson Bagent (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg) of the Shepherd University football team has been named PSAC East Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office today. 

Bagent threw for the most yards in the PSAC in week one and was key in leading Shepherd over Ohio Dominican who was receiving votes in the AFCA Preseason Coaches Poll. The Rams won the matchup over ODU, 35-30, much in part to Bagent's stellar play. The D2Football Preseason All-American was 26-for-37 with four touchdowns and 346 yards in the air. He also mounted a key drive early in the fourth quarter going nine plays for 75 yards winding up in a TD pass to Greg Leonard to give Shepherd the lead and never looked back.
