DANVILLE, Pa. – The Shepherd University women's golf team shot a 378 to finish third in a seven-team field at the Husky Invitational at the Frost Valley Resort on Monday. The third-place finish is the best in program history. Mercyhurst shot a 335 to take the team title. Alyssa Ballaro and Isabella Walter each fired an 82 to lead the Lakers.
Junior Amanda Deener (Middletown, Md./Frederick Christian Academy Homeschool Umbrella Program) shot an 87 to finish in fourth place to lead the Rams. She was followed by freshman Sara Veara (Berkeley Springs, W.Va./Berkeley Springs) (91, T-7th), sophomore Olivia Rosick (Purcellville, Va./Woodgrove) (96, 12th), and junior Ciara Scafide (Knoxville, Md./Brunswick) (104, T-19th).
The Rams conclude the fall portion of their schedule.
