SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Four different players scored goals to lead West Chester (10-5-2, 7-3-2 PSAC East) to a 4-1 win over Shepherd University (1-11-6, 0-9-3 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer action at Shepherd on Senior Day on Saturday.
The Golden Rams took a 3-0 advantage into the break on first-half goals by Andrew Markopoulos, Phil Udo-Inyang, and AJ Peev.
Craig Potts added a second-half tally for West Chester.
Senior midfielder Shamar Robinson (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Mount Vernon) scored on a penalty kick at the 67:11 mark for the Rams.
Senior Billy Wood (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) (88:38 – 4 GA, 2 saves) and freshman Carter Cave (Morgantown, W.Va./Morgantown) (1:22 – 0 GA, 0 saves) posted three saves in goal for the Rams.
Daniel Good (82:13 - 1 GA, 3 saves) and Aiden Sommers (7:42 – 0 GA, 1 save) combined for four saves for West Chester.
West Chester had an 11-9 edge in shots with a 6-5 advantage in shots on goal. The Golden Rams had a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks.
The Rams complete the 2022 season.
