LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Freshman midfielder Josie Beezel (Woodsboro, Md./Linganore) scored on a pass sophomore midfielder Delaney Bittner (York, Pa./Red Lion Area Senior) at the 64:51 mark to lift Shepherd University (7-7-4, 6-7-3 PSAC East) to a 2-1 win over Lock Haven (3-10-5, 0-13-2 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Lock Haven on Saturday.
Lock Haven took a 1-0 lead when Eva Stoessel scored on an assist from Evelyn Ciaccia at the 51:41 mark.
Shepherd tied the game when freshman midfielder Adrianna Morales (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel) scored on a pass from senior forward/midfielder Sara Hohn (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson) at the 57:03 mark.
Shepherd had a 19-3 advantage in shots with a 5-2 edge in shots on goal. The Rams had a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Sophomore Alayna Burgamy (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Pitt-Johnstown) recorded a save in goal for the Rams. Megan Miller had three saves for the Bald Eagles.
The Rams complete their season at the .500 mark with a 7-7-4 overall mark.
