HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Shepherd (2-1) split a doubleheader with Coker (1-6) in baseball action at Coker on Saturday. The Rams gained an 11-3 win in game one while Coker grabbed a 2-0 win in the nightcap. 

Shepherd had a 10-hit attack in the game one victory.
 
Sophomore designated hitter Corey Jamison (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport), graduate student infielder Joey Schwartz (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg/Western Kentucky), and senior catcher Andrew Edwards (Alexandria, Va./West Potomac) each had a pair of hits for the Rams. Jamison scored a team-best three runs, while Schwartz drove in a team-high three runs. Edwards launched a solo blast in the seventh inning. 

Brady Jeffcoat went 2-for-4 with a home run to lead the Cobras. 

Senior pitcher Nick Trabacchi (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown West/UMBC) (7.0 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 8 K, 2 BB) (1-0) earned the win for the Rams. Sophomore reliever Nate Hodgkinson (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) (2.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 K, 0 BB) worked the final two innings. Brendan Mullins (2.2 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 2 K, 3 BB) (0-2) took the loss. 

Coker gained a 2-0 win in the nightcap. 

Cody Hanna went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and drove in a run to lead the Cobras. 

Junior first baseman Ross Mulhall (Morgantown, W.Va./University/Gardner-Webb) doubled and junior infielder Cole Daugherty (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) singled for the Rams.

Chris Watkins (6.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 7 K, 0 BB) (1-1) picked up the win for the Cobras. Triston Fowler (1.0 IP, 0 H, 0R, 3K, 0 BB) gained the save. Sophomore starter Chris Chaney (Falling Waters, W.Va./St. James School/Maryland) (4.1 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 3 K, 1 BB) (0-1) took the loss. 

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Georgia Southwestern State for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
