Former Shepherd University football player DeJuan Neal was recently drafted by the New Jersey Generals in the 2022 USFL Draft. Neal was sixth pick in the 11th round.

Neal was a member of the Shepherd football team from 2014-18. He served as a team captain in his senior season. Neal gained first team All-Conference and third team All-Region honors in 2018.

The USFL season is slated to begin on April 16.
