SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Junior guard Abby Beeman (Ridgeley, W.Va./Frankfort) of the Shepherd University women's basketball team has been named to the D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Team.

Beeman, a first team selection, leads the Rams in scoring (18.8 ppg), assists (7.7 apg), and steals (2.7 spg). She also tops the team in three-pointers (71) and minutes played (1155). She leads NCAA II in assists (239) and assists per game. Beeman also ranks sixth nationally in steals (85). She was a four-time PSAC East Athlete of the Week honoree this season. Beeman scored 20 points or more in 15 games and has handed out eight assists or more in 18 games. 

Sports information directors from NCAA Division II Atlantic Region schools and conferences selected the two all-region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections announced later in the month. The Atlantic Region consists of schools from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), the MEC and the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), along with independents Bluefield State and Salem. 

The 2021-22 D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Women's Basketball Team featured six players from the MEC, three players from the PSAC, one player from the CIAA and zero players from independents. 

The team is sponsored by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association, which encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
