HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Shepherd University won a trio of matches of tennis matches in competition at Hilton Head. The men posted a 6-3 win over Western New England on Sunday and added a 5-2 triumph over Oswego State on Monday. The women recorded a 7-0 win over Agnes Scott on Monday.

Freshman Sebastian Sevilla (Ambato, Ecuador/Unidad Educativa Atenas) and sophomore Yuto Shimotsuji (Osaka, Japan/Naniwa/Campbellsville) won at number one and number two singles in both victories. Sevilla teamed with sophomore Hamilton Hall (Morgantown, W.Va./Morgantown) for a pair of win at number one doubles, while Shimotsuji and sophomore Joseph Michael (Morgantown, W.Va./Morgantown) for two victories at number two doubles.

The women's team got 6-0, 6-0 singles wins from junior Morgan Burner (Winchester, Va./James Wood), and sophomore Johnna Smith (Buckhannon, W.Va./Buckhannon-Upshur), and  senior Claire Dean (Church Hill, Md./Queen Anne's County).
