HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Shepherd University tennis teams split a pair of matches at Hilton Head on Tuesday. The men (4-2) posted a 5-2 win over Webster, while the women (3-2) dropped a 7-0 decision to Slippery Rock (4-2) at Hilton Head on Tuesday.
Freshman Sebastian Sevilla (Ambato, Ecuador/Unidad Educativa Atenas), sophomore Yuto Shimotsuji (Osaka, Japan/Naniwa/Campbellsville), sophomore Joseph Michael (Morgantown, W.Va./Morgantown) and junior Ryan Cox (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) recorded singles victories.
Shimotsuji and Michael teamed for a win at number one doubles, while Sevilla and sophomore Hamilton Hall (Morgantown, W.Va./Morgantown) recorded a victory at number two doubles.
