Shepherd Women’s Lacrosse Downed at Bloomsburg

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Kelsey Kilgallon scored six goals and Annie Rollins added five to lead Bloomsburg (4-1, 1-0 PSAC East) to a 16-12 win over Shepherd (2-3, 0-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's lacrosse action at Bloomsburg on Wednesday afternoon. 

Senior attack Katherine Campbell (Montgomery Village, Md./Watkins Mill) had three goals and an assist to lead the Rams. Freshman midfielder Katie Paredes (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) added two goals and an assist, while sophomore midfielder Kaiya Edwards (Brogue, Pa./Red Lion) and sophomore attacker Shanna Dextradeur (Middletown, Md./Middletown) each netted a pair of goals. 

Graduate student attacker Sidney Kelly (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) added a goal and two assists. Senior midfielder/defender Paige Alexander (Ashburn, Va./Briar Woods) and sophomore midfielder Paige Stoner (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) each added a goal. Sophomore attack Sam Lassahn (Baltimore, Md./Concordia Prep) contributed two assists. 

Abby Kalish had three goals and Kate Roberts added two for the Huskies.

Bloomsburg had a 9-4 lead at halftime. 

The Rams scored three straight goals (Stoner, Paredes, Kelly) over a four-minute span in the fourth quarter to get the Ram to within two goals at 14-12 with 8:03 remaining. Rollins scored a pair for Bloomsburg in the game's final minutes to seal the win. 

Senior goalkeeper Hailey Bennett (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) had 10 saves for the Rams. Lauren Foley recorded six saves for Bloomsburg.  

Bloomsburg had a 33-20 edge in shots with a 25-18 advantage in shots on goal. The Huskies were 15-of-22 in clears, while Shepherd was 12-of-15. Bloomsburg had a 24-13 edge in ground balls and an 18-13 advantage in draw controls. 

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Shippensburg for a 1 p.m. contest.
