WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team fired a two-round total of 623 to finish in fifth place in a 12-team field at the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invite at Penn Oaks Golf Club on Tuesday. Indiana (Pa.) took the team title with a 600. Jackson Buccigross of IUP took individual honors. Shepherd had two participants in the women's competition. Host West Chester won the team title, and Mia Avotins of Le Moyne took individual honors. 

Senior Tyler Potts (Owings, Md./Northern/College of Southern Maryland) had a two-round total of 153 to tie for 13th place to lead the Rams. He was followed by senior Mason Kidwell (Charles Town, W.Va.) (155, 19th), junior Chris Neighbors (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (156, T-20th), junior Tyler Hardy (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (159, T-33rd), and freshman Koke Dolce (Spicewood, Texas/St. Michael's Catholic Academy) (168, T-54th).  

Sophomore Amanda Deener (Middletown, Md./Frederick Christian Academy Homeschool Umbrella Program) fired a two-day total of 190 to tie for 24th place for the Rams.  She was followed by sophomore Ciara Scafide (Knoxville, Md./Brunswick) (222, 42nd).  

The women return to action on Sunday when they travel to the Spring Invitational in Fleetwood, Pa. The men return to action on April 18 when they travel to IUP for the Cecil Spadafora Invitational.
