SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Freshman midfielder Justin Langon (Upper Marlboro, Md./Bishop McNamara) scored a pair of goals to help Shepherd University (1-5-3, 0-4-1 PSAC East) battle to a 2-2 tie with Shippensburg (2-3-2, 0-3-2 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer action at Shippensburg on Saturday.
Shippensburg took a 1-0 lead when Seth Crabbe scored on a pass from Harry Kershaw at the 8:04 mark.
Shepherd tied the game when Langon scored on a pass from sophomore forward Steven Zeballos Choque (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) at the 60:44 mark.
The Raiders took a 2-1 lead when Omario Duncan scored on a feed from Nathan Weldon at the 76:28 mark.
Langon added an unassisted goal at the 76:51 mark to give the Rams the tie.
Senior netminder Billy Wood (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) recorded six saves for the Rams. Cody Willoughby recorded one save for Shippensburg.
Shippensburg had a 19-9 edge in shots with an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal. The Raiders had a 7-1 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Lock Haven for a 3:30 p.m. contest
