NORTH EAST, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a two-round total of 610 to finish seventh in a 16-team field at the Mercyhurst Fall Invitational at Lakeview Country Club. Gannon took the men's team title with a 586. Reese Watson of California (Pa.) gained medalist honors with a two-round total of 140. Gannon also took the women's title with a 622. Andrea Martinez of Gannon took medalist honors with a 150 and won a playoff on the first hole. 

The men were led by sophomore Trey Rios (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) who shot a 145 (71-74) to finish fourth. He was followed by sophomore Nop Satijavitisarn (Yannawa Bangkok, Thailand/International Community School) (147 (73-74), T-9th), sophomore Morgan Dehoff (Rohrersville, Md./Boonsboro) (157 (79-78), T-45th), freshman Jimmy Goldsborough (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) (161 (81-80), T-58th), senior Chris Neighbors (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (167 (87-80), T-70th), and sophomore Dylan Byers (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro) (175 (86-89), T-82nd). 

Sophomore Sara Veara (Berkeley Springs, W.Va./Berkeley Springs) shot a 171 (85-86) to tie for 22nd to lead the women.  She was followed by senior Olivia Rosick (Purcellville, Va./Woodgrove) (180 (88-92), 36th) and sophomore Ryley Bolyard (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville/Meredith College) (206 (99-107), 55th). 

Both teams return to action on Sunday at the Gannon Fall Invitational.
