Shepherd Men’s Soccer Falls to Millersville

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Shepherd University (3-11-3, 1-9-2 PSAC East) dropped a 2-0 decision to Millersville (12-2-3, 9-1-2 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer action at Millersville in the season finale on Friday.

The Marauders took a 1-0 lead into the break when Michael Dempsey scored on assists from Zander Leik and Fallou Cisse at the 37:04 mark. 

Aaron Maynard added a second-half goal at the 88:45 mark on an assist from Louis Wright. 

Senior goalkeeper Christian Blazes (Hagerstown, Md./Heritage Academy) (56:26, 2 GA, 6 saves) and sophomore goalkeeper Carter Cave (Morgantown, W.Va./Morgantown) (33:34, 0 GA, 2 saves) combined to post eight saves for the Rams. Travis Holiday (77:52) and Jack Gabler (12:08) did not record a save for the Marauders.  

Millersville had a 23-10 advantage in shots and had a 10-0 edge in shots on goal. The Marauders had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.
