SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (7-5-6, 5-5-6 PSAC East) battled to a scoreless tie with West Chester (11-3-3, 11-3-2 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Shepherd on Friday.
Junior goalkeeper Alayna Burgamy (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Pitt-Johnstown) recorded five saves for the Rams. Grace Keen posted three saves for the Golden Rams.
West Chester had an 18-10 advantage in shots with a 5-3 edge in shots on goal. The Golden Rams also held a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks.
The Rams completed the year with their first winning season since the 2005 team recorded an 11-10-1 overall mark. Shepherd's .555 winning percentage is the best in program history. The 5-5-6 mark in PSAC action for the Rams is a program best mark as a member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
