LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Junior goalkeeper Alyana Burgamy (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Pitt-Johnstown) and sophomore forward Lydia Gable (Felton, Pa./Kennard Dale) of the Shepherd University women's soccer team gained conference weekly honors as announced by the league office today. Burgamy was named PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week, while Gable gained PSAC East Athlete of the Week honors.
Alayna Burgamy recorded six saves and allowed only one goal in a 1-0-1 week for the Rams. She had five saves in a scoreless tie against West Chester. Shepherd finished strong to record its first winning season since 2005.
Lydia Gable scored a pair of goals to lead Shepherd to a 1-0-1 week. Gable helped the Rams finish with its first winning season since 2005.
