SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – The Shepherd University tennis teams swept a pair of matches with Juniata at Shepherd on Sunday.  Shepherd posted a 5-2 win in men's action and added a 7-0 triumph in women's action.

Junior Nicholas Espinoza (Guayaquil, Ecuador/Colegio Aleman Humboldt/Iowa Central Community College) paced the men with a 6-0, 6-0 win at number three singles. He also teamed with sophomore Sebastian Sevilla (Ambato, Ecuador/Unidad Educativa Atenas) to post a 6-2 win at number one doubles.

Junior Marketa Beladova (Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic/Iowa Central Community College) recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win at number one singles. She teamed with freshman Ximena Bolanos Tellez (Mineral de la Reforma, Mexico/Colegio Makarenko) for a 6-0 win at number one doubles.

The men improve to 1-3 on the year, while the women go to 1-2. The two teams return to action on Thursday when they host Salem at noon.
