MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Two members of the Shepherd University baseball team were named to the 2023 D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Team today. Redshirt-sophomore outfielder
Sam Daggers (Galloway, N.J./Absegami/Rowan Gloucester CC) and senior first baseman
Ross Mulhall (Morgantown, W.Va./University/Gardner-Webb) were second team selections.
Daggers recorded a .373 batting average with 63 hits in 169 at-bats. He drove in 47 runs and scored 43. He added 15 doubles, a triple, and seven round-trippers. Daggers drew 20 walks and was hit-by-pitch seven times. He was a perfect 13-of-13 in stolen bases.
Mulhall led the Rams with a .395 batting average with 66 hits in 167 at-bats. He also led the team in total bases (117), hits (66), runs batted in (51), doubles (18), and home runs (11). He scored 47 runs and was hit-by-pitch 10 times to tie for the team lead in both categories. Mulhall was 8-of-9 in stolen bases.
Shepherd finished the season with a 25-20 overall mark with an 8-15 record in PSAC East action.
