HAGERSTOWN, Md. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a two-round total of 566 to capture the team title in a 10-team field at the Cardinal Classic on Sunday at the Black Rock Golf Course. The Rams won by 29 strokes over second place Catholic University. The Shepherd women's team had two competitors. Host Catholic won the women's title with a two-round total of 620. 

The men were led by sophomore Morgan Dehoff (Rohrersville, Md./Boonsboro) and senior Chris Neighbors (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) who each shot a 140 to tie for medalist honors. They were followed by sophomore Joey Leisinger (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) (144, T-4th) and sophomore Trey Rios (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) (147, T-7th), and sophomore  Nop Satijavitisarn (Yannawa Bangkok, Thailand/International Community School) (151, T-10th). 

Sophomore Dylan Byers (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro) had a 157 (T-27th), freshman Jimmy Goldsborough (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) shot a 158 (T-30th), and sophomore Luke Davis (Clear Brook, Va./James Wood) shot a 164 (T-45th) as they competed as individuals.  

Sophomore Sara Veara (Berkeley Springs, W.Va./Berkeley Springs) shot a 159 (T-8th) and senior Olivia Rosick (Purcellville, Va./Woodgrove) fired a 171 (21st) for the women. 

The Rams return to action on September 25 when they host the Shepherd Invitational.
