SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (1-5-0, 0-3-0 PSAC East) dropped a 3-0 decision to Bloomsburg (2-2-2., 1-1-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer action at Shepherd on Wednesday afternoon.
After a scoreless first half, Bloomsburg opened the second half scoring on an unassisted goal by Sammy Ames at the 56:01 mark.
The Huskies took a 2-0 lead on a penalty kick by Alex Wilsterman at the 81:57 mark.
Bloomsburg completed the scoring when Jaliyl Melvin scored on a feed from Sam Blumberger at the 85:01 mark.
Sophomore goalkeeper Carter Cave (Morgantown, W.Va./Morgantown) posted seven saves for the Rams. Brady Rimple did not record a save in a shutout effort for the Huskies.
Bloomsburg had a 14-4 edge in shots with a 10-0 edge in shots on goal. The Huskies had a 7-4 advantage in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Lock Haven for a 6:30 p.m. match
