JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a two-round total of 597 to finish in ninth place in a 16-team field at the Sunnehanna Collegiate at the Sunnehanna Country Club. Gannon shot a 564 to take team honors. Mattia Parrini of Gannon shot a 138 to earn medalist honors.
Freshman
Campbell Koegler (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) led the Rams with a two-round total of 148 to tie for 27th place. He was followed by junior
Trey Rios (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) and junior
Joey Leisinger (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) who both shot a 150 to tie for 38th place. They were followed by junior
Morgan Dehoff (Rohrersville, Md./Boonsboro) (152, T-47th), junior
Nop Satjavitvisarn (Yannawa Bangkok/Thailand International Community School) and freshman
Andrew Taylor (Summit Point, W.Va./Washington) (both shot a 161 and tied for 78th).
The Rams return to action on Monday when they travel to the Bud Elwell Invitational hosted by Gannon University.
