CENTRE VALLEY, Pa. – The women's cross-country team finished eighth in a 13-team field with a score of 231 in a 6K race, while the men's team placed 12th out of 16 teams with a 341 at the DeSales Invitational. Lebanon Valley won the women's race with a 45, while Messiah won the 8K men's race with a 40.
The women were led by junior
Riley Staub (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) who finished 23rd with a time of 25:23.8. She was followed by sophomore
Camryn Row (Hagerstown, Md./Boonsboro) (36th, 26:37.0), freshman
Zoe Boyd (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) (78th, 29:11:7), and sophomore
Elizabeth Cushwa (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg) (80th, 29:15:7).
The men were led by
Connor Ireland (Charles Town, W.Va./Jefferson) who finished 58th with a time of 29:15.4. He was followed by junior
Parker Mackey (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) (30:02.8) and senior
James Burdock (Stephenson, Va./James Wood) (90th, 30:31.4).
The Rams return to action on October 26 when they travel to the PSAC Championships.
