EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Fifteeenth-ranked Shepherd University (7-1-4, 7-1-2 PSAC East) battled to a 1-1 tie with East Stroudsburg (5-3-5, 3-3-5 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at East Stroudsburg on Saturday.
Shepherd took a 1-0 lead into the break when sophomore midfielder
Reagan Ackermann (Myersville, Md./Middletown/UNC Wilmington) scored an unassisted goal at the 9:52 mark.
East Stroudsburg tied the game when Sydnie Wright scored on an assist from Millie Smith at the 55:37 mark.
Shepherd had a 13-9 edge in shots with a 9-6 advantage in shots on goal. The Rams had an 8-4 edge in corner kicks.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Hannah Wilt (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert) recorded five saves for the Rams. Emmy Clarkson had six saves for the Warriors.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Millersville for a 6 p.m. match.
