KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Shepherd University cross country teams competed at the PSAC Championship hosted by Kutztown University on Saturday. The men's team finished 15th in a 15-team field with a score of 470 in an 8K race, while the women's team finished 17th in a 17-team field with a score of 502 in a 6K race.
The men were led by
Connor Ireland (Charles Town, W.Va./Jefferson) who finished 111th with a time of 29:08.9. He was followed by junior
Parker Mackey (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) (122nd, 30:08.2), senior
James Burdock (Stephenson, Va./James Wood) (124th, 30:18.6), freshman
Jackson Fiolek (Harpers Ferry, W.Va/Washington) (139th, 31:39.7) and junior
Nick Yankle (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) (147th, 35:22.9).
The women were led by junior
Riley Staub (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) who finished 101st with a time of 25:32.3. She was followed by sophomore
Camryn Row (Hagerstown, Md./Boonsboro) (118th, 26:18.4), sophomore
Elizabeth Cushwa (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg) (139th, 28:00.6), freshman
Zoe Boyd (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) (150, 29:20.9), and freshman
Ashley Anderson (Charles Town, W.Va./Woodgrove (Va.)) (156th, 31:44.6).
The Rams wrap up action on November 9 when they travel to Lock Haven for the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship.
