ERIE, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a two-round total of 798 to finish in seventh place in an eight-team field at the Bud Elwell Invitational hosted by Gannon University at the Whispering Woods Golf Club. Gannon fired a 731 to take team honors. Rasmus Sappanen of Gannon shot a two-round total of 134 to earn medalist honors.
 
Junior Joey Leisinger (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) led the Rams with a 153 to tie for 13th place. He was followed by freshman Campbell Koegler (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) (157, T-22nd), junior Nop Satjavitvisarn (Yannawa Bangkok/Thailand International Community School) (158, T-25th),  junior Trey Rios (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) (160, T-29th), freshman Andrew Taylor (Summit Point, W.Va./Washington) (170, 45th), and junior Luke Davis (Clear Brook, Va./James Wood) (183, 49th).
 
The Rams return to action on October 18 when they travel to Lebanon, Pa. for the PSAC Championship.
