LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Seven members of the Shepherd University women's soccer team have been named All-PSAC East Women's Soccer team as announced by the league office on Thursday.  Additionally, redshirt freshman Hannah Wilt (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert) was named PSAC East Freshman of the Year, senior defender Delaney Bittner (York, Pa./Red Lion Area Senior) was named PSAC East Defender of the Year, and head coach Sam Odell was selected as PSAC East Coach of the Year.

Wilt started all 18 games in goal for the Rams and carries a .476 goals-against-average, the second-best mark in the PSAC and tops in the East. She made 54 saves with a .857 save percentage (tied for fourth-best in the conference) while her 10 shutouts were also tied for the league lead.

Bittner was voted the Defensive Player of the Year and was a key part of the Rams' stout defense which allowed just eight goals in the 2024 regular season, the lowest total in the Eastern Division. She also chipped in with three assists on the offensive end.

Odell was honored with the East's Coach of the Year award after orchestrating an East-best 14-1-4 overall record (13-1-2 PSAC)—a vast improvement over 2023's 7-5-6 overall record (5-5-6 PSAC). The Rams' 36 regular season goals were tied with West Chester for most in the Eastern Division, while Shepherd's eight goals allowed were the East's lowest total.

Junior forward Lydia Gable (Felton, Pa./Kennard Dale) and sophomore midfielder Annabelle Wunderlich (Red Lion, Pa./Dallastown Area) join Bittner on the first team.
Gable leads the team in scoring with 11 goals and seven assists for 29 points. Her four game-winning goals tie for the team lead. She gained PSAC Athlete of the Week honors for Sept. 30.

Wunderlich contributed five goals and five assists for 15 points. She recorded three game-winning tallies.

Junior defender Madison Herb (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood Area/Mansfield),  sophomore midfielder Reagan Ackermann (Myersville, Md./Middletown/UNC Wilmington), and senior midfielder Sarah Peternel (Wolfeboro, NH/Virtual Learning Academy Charter School/University of New Hampshire) join Wilt as second team honorees.

Herb has one assist for one point this season. She helped anchor a Shepherd defense that recorded a program-record 10 shutouts on the season.

Ackermann recorded five goals and seven assists (tied for the team lead with Gable) for 17 points.

Peternel posted six goals and a pair of assists for 14 points.  She ties Gable with four game-winning goals.
