Six Shepherd Women’s Soccer Players Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Six members of the Shepherd University women's soccer team have been named to the 2024 CSC Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, selected by the College Sports Information Communicators, for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Sophomore midfielder Reagan Ackermann (Myersville, Md./Middletown/UNC Wilmington),  junior defender Madison Herb  (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood Area/Mansfield), sophomore midfielder Annabelle Wunderlich (Red Lion, Pa./Dallastown Area), senior midfielder Delaney Bittner (York, Pa./Red Lion Area Senior), sophomore midfielder Taylor Schuck (Springfield, Va./West Springfield), and redshirt freshman goalkeeper Hannah Wilt (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert) garnered Academic All-District honors.

Ackermann, a second team All-PSAC East choice, has appeared in 20 games with 19 starts. She has five goals and seven assists for 22 points this season. She boasts a 3.79 grade point average as a biology major.

Herb, a second team All-PSAC East selection, has appeared in 21 games with 20 starts. She has one assist for one point on the season. Herb boasts a 3.71 grade point average as a nursing major.

Wunderlich, a first team All-PSAC East choice, has appeared and started in all 21 games. She had eight goals and six assists for 22 points. Wunderlich boasts a 3.68 grade point average as a nursing major.

Bittner, the 2024 PSAC East Defender of the Year, has appeared and started in all 21 games. She has three assists for three points this season. Bittner boasts a 3.92 grade point average as a health promotion and exercise science major.

Schuck has appeared in 21 games with 16 starts. She has four goals for eight points this season. She boasts a 4.0 grade point average as a nursing major.

Wilt, the 2024 PSAC East Freshman of the Year, has appeared and started in all 21 games. She has recorded 59 saves with a 0.72 goals-against-average. She added a .797 save percentage. Wilt boasts a 3.89 grade point average as a health promotion and exercise science major.

To be eligible for Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and have played in at least 90 percent of the team's competition throughout the season.
