BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- Sophomore middle hitter/right side
Sophia Ryan (Monroe, NY./Monroe Woodbury) of the Shepherd University volleyball team has been named to the 2024 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Atlantic Region Volleyball Team as selected by the region's sports information directors. Ryan gained second team accolades.
Ryan, a first team All-PSAC East choice, has recorded 233 kills and a team-best 148 blocks with a team-best 21 block solos. She has added 15 digs and one assist. Ryan recorded 10 kills or more in nine contests, including a career-high 14 kills in a win over Millersville. She earned PSAC East Athlete of the Week honors for Oct.7.
The Rams (24-5) return to action on Thursday when they face Indiana (Pa.) (23-8) at 1:30 p.m. in quarterfinal action of the Atlantic Regionals at Gannon.
