WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a 635 to finish sixth in a 10-team field and three members of the Shepherd University women's golf team competed at the California (Pa.) Vulcan Fire Classic at the Lone Pine Country Club in Washington, Pa. on Monday. Millersville took the men's title, while West Chester took the women's title.

Sophomore Joey Leisinger (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown fired a 151 to tie for 10th place to lead the Rams. He was followed by sophomore Morgan Dehoff (Rohrersville, Md./Boonsboro) (155, T-20th), sophomore Trey Rios (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) (156, T-25th), graduate student Chris Neighbors  (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) (162, T-45th), and sophomore Nop Satjavitvisarn (Yannawa Bangkok, Thailand/International Community School) (167, T-56th).

Sophomore Sara Veara (Berkeley Springs, W.Va./Berkeley Springs) shot a 180 to finish in 10th place to lead the Rams. She was followed by senior Olivia Rosick (Purcellville, Va./Woodgrove) (195, 26th place) and sophomore Ryley Bolyard (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville/Meredith College) (237, 36th).  

The Rams return to action on April 1 when they travel to the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invite at West Chester.
