INDIANA, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a first round total of 309 on Monday and are ranked 12th in a 15-team field at the Cecil C. Spadafora IUP Invitational at the Indiana Country Club. Host IUP grabbed the first round lead with a team score of 281.

Sophomore Morgan Dehoff (Rohrersville, Md./Boonsboro) shot a 73 to tie for 14th to lead the Rams. He was followed by sophomore Nop Satjavitvisarn (Yannawa Bangkok, Thailand/International Community School) and sophomore Trey Rios (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) who each shot a 78 to tie for 50th. Graduate student Chris Neighbors  (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) added an 80 (T-66th), and sophomore Joey Leisinger (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) carded an 82 (T-72nd).

The Rams return to action on Tuesday for final round tournament action.
