SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (4-7, 1-2 PSAC East) handed Lock Haven (5-1, 0-1 PSAC East) a 5-2 setback in women's tennis action at Shepherd on Saturday.

Senior Marketa Beladova (Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic/Iowa Central Community College) posted a 6-3, 6-3 win at number one singles. The Rams also got singles win from sophomore Ximena Bolanos Tellez (Mineral de la Reforma, Mexico/Colegio Makarenko) (6-1, 6-0), graduate student Isabella Mascari (Morgantown, W.Va., Morgantown High) (6-0, 6-0) and sophomore Kayda Shives (Clear Spring, Md./Clear Spring/Hagerstown Community College) (6-0, 6-1). 

Beladova and Tellez added a 6-2 win at number one doubles and Mascari and Shives posted a 6-2 triumph at number two doubles.

The Rams return to action on Sunday when they travel to West Virginia Wesleyan for an 11:30 a.m. match.
