LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Shepherd University (21-25, 14-18 PSAC East) swept a doubleheader with Lock Haven (11-34, 8-24 PSAC East) in PSAC East baseball action at Lock Haven on Friday. The Rams recorded a 3-1 win in game one and added a 7-1 triumph in the nightcap.
Shepherd took a 2-0 lead in the first inning in game one on RBI-singles by graduate student third baseman

Shepherd added a run in the second as junior shortstop
Greg Borges (Odenton, Md./Avalon Day School/Allegany College of Maryland) walked, stole second, and advanced to third on an error. He later scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of redshirt-junior second baseman

Lock Haven scored a run in the fifth as Cam Gracey reached on an error and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Lance Baldensperger.

Shepherd took a 1-0 lead in the second in the nightcap when Borges reached on a walk and later scored on a passed ball.
The Rams added five runs on five hits in the third to take a 6-0 lead. Redshirt-junior outfielder
Clay Maholic (Morgantown, W.Va./University/Potomac State) smacked a two-run single to highlight the rally.
Lock Haven got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the third on an RBI-single from Greg Christino.
Shepherd completed the scoring with a run in the fifth as junior catcher
Brayden Meskill (Bordentown, N.J./Notre Dame/Mercer County CC) reached on a single and later scored on a single off the bat of senior first baseman
