IRVING, Texas – Seven members of the Shepherd University football team have been recognized by the National Football Foundation & College Football of Fame as being among the list of 3,524 student athletes who have earned their undergraduate degrees and will be playing college football this fall.

Punter Ryan Barrick (Frederick, Md/Tuscarora), defensive lineman Matt Bednarski (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg), linebacker Joseph Groves (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County/William & Mary), offensive lineman Ty Lucas (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg), offensive lineman Curtis Jefferson (Washington, D.C./Woodrow Wilson), running back Grant Swinehart (Bridgewater, Va./Turner Ashby/VMI), and wide receiver Thad Standfield (Bowie, Md./Annapolis Area Christian School/Edinboro) are graduates who will play for the Rams this season.
