SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- The Shepherd University tennis teams dropped a pair of matches to Catholic University at Shepherd on Sunday. The men (0-1) came up short on a 6-1 decision to Catholic (3-0), while the women (0-1) dropped a 7-0 decision to the Cardinals (3-0).
The Shepherd men got double wins from junior
Fabian Telschow (Schriesheim, Germany/Kurpfalz-Gymnasium-Schreisheim) and sophomore
Curry Taylor (Hurricane, W.Va./Hurricane) (7-5) at number two doubles and freshman
Jack Schottler (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) and senior
Khalid Alsadek (Irvine, Calif./Fountain Valley/Orange Coast College) (6-1) at number three doubles to earn the doubles point.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Messiah at 4 p.m.
