Shepherd Men’s Soccer Falls at East Stroudsburg

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (2-1-2, 0-1-0 PSAC East) dropped a 3-1 decision to East Stroudsburg (2-0-2, 1-0-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer action at East Stroudsburg on Saturday.

Ryan Kiernan scored on an assist from Michael Ulbraten at the 2:46 mark to give East Stroudsburg a 1-0 lead.

Sophomore midfielder Donik Elshani (Crofton, Md./Crofton) scored an unassisted goal at the 24:23 mark to tie the game.

Ignasi Cucurella scored on a penalty kick at the 60:30 mark to give the Warriors the lead.

Cayetano Diaz scored an unassisted tally at the 82:01 mark to complete the scoring. 
     
Freshman goalkeeper Aidan Houck (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) recorded seven saves for the Rams. Helgi Hermannsson posted three saves for the Warriors.

East Stroudsburg had a 19-5 advantage in shots with a 10-4 edge in shots on goal. Shepherd had a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Bloomsburg for a 3:30 p.m. contest.
