HAGERSTOWN, Md. – The Shepherd University men's golf team finished first in a 14-team field and the Shepherd women placed third in a nine-team field at the Cardinal Classic at Black Rock Golf Course at Hagerstown on Sunday. The men took team honors with a 15-under-par score. The Shepherd men's B team also competed and finished third. The women placed third in a nine-team field. Catholic took the women's team honors. 
 
Junior Trey Rios (Denver, Pa./Cocalico),  junior Morgan Dehoff (Rohrersville, Md./Boonsboro) and Shepherd B team player freshman Killian Donnelly (Palmyra, Va./Palmyra) shared medalist honors by firing a two-round score of six-under-par. They were followed by junior Joey Leisinger (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) (T-6th, -1), junior Nop Satjavitvisarn  (Yannawa Bangkok,/Thailand International Community School) (12th, +2), and freshman Andrew Taylor (Summit Point, W.Va./Washington) (T-19th, +5), 
 
The B team was led by Donnelly. He was followed by Campbell Koegler (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) (T-6th, -1),  sophomore Jimmy Goldsborough (Hagerstown, Md./ North Hagerstown) (T-38th, +9), freshman Ben Heidrick (Rosedale, Md./Calvert Hall) (T-44, +11) and junior Luke Davis (Clear Brook,/Va./James Wood) (T-50th, +13) 
 
Graduate student Olivia Rosick (Purcellville, Va./Woodgrove) led the women as she finished in fourth place (+12). She was followed by junior Sara Veara (Berkeley Springs, W.Va./Berkeley Springs) (T-6th, +15), graduate student Amanda Deener (Middletown, Md./Frederick Christian Academy/Homeschool Umbrella Program) (T-17th, +24) and freshman Kaylie Brown (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) (T-27th, +33). 

The Rams return to action on September 30 when they travel to the Sunnehanna Collegiate hosted by Pitt-Johnstown.
