KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- The Shepherd University women's golf team is in seventh place in an eight-team field after first round action at the Millersville Women's Fall Classic at the Berkleigh Golf Club in Kutztown on Monday. Alvernia took the first round lead with a four-stroke advantage over Bloomsburg.
Leading the way for the Rams was junior
Sara Veara (Berkeley Springs, W.Va./Berkeley Springs) who shot a two-over par to tie for first place. She was followed by graduate student
Olivia Rosick (Purcellville, Va./Woodgrove) (T-20th, +15), graduate student
Amanda Deener (Middletown, Md./Frederick Christian Academy/Homeschool Umbrella Program) (35th, +20), and freshman
Kaylie Brown (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) (43rd, +29).
The Rams return to action on Tuesday for final round action.
