SALISBURY, Md. – The women's cross-country team finished sixth in an eight-team field with a score of 157 in a 6K race, while four individuals competed for the men's team at the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University on Saturday.
The women were led by junior
Riley Staub (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) who finished 13th with a time of 24:39:10. She was followed by sophomore
Elizabeth Cushwa (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg) (35th, 27:22:00), freshman
Zoe Boyd (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) (45th, 29:02:50), freshman
Ashley Anderson (Charles Town, W.Va./Woodgrove (Va.) (51st, 32:39:00), and freshman
Autumn Crites (Baker, W. Va./ East Hardy) (58th, 37:24:90).
The men were led by junior
Parker Mackey (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) who finished 25th with a time of 30:15:30. He was followed by senior
James Burdock (Stephenson, Va./James Wood) (30th, 30:55:80,
Connor Ireland (Charles Town, W.Va./Jefferson) (40th, 32:44:20), and junior
Nick Yankle (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) (45th, 35:13:00).
The Rams return to action on October 12 when they travel to the DeSales Invitational.
