Josie Beezel (Woodsboro, Md./Linganore) at the 29:07 mark to lift Shepherd University (0-0-1) to a 1-1 tie with Slippery Rock (0-0-1) in women's soccer action Shepherd on Friday in the season opener for both schools.
Slippery Rock took a 1-0 lead when Sydney Patrick scored on a feed from Jordyn Constable at the 7:39 mark.
Shepherd had a 16-14 advantage in shots with shots on goal even at eight each.
Sophomore
Hannah Wilt (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert) recorded seven saves in goal for the Rams. Leah Allman posted seven saves for Slippery Rock.
The Rams return to action on Monday when they travel to Fairmont State for a 7 p.m. match.
