LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- Senior Sara Veara (Berkeley Springs, W.Va./Berkeley Springs) of the Shepherd University women's golf team has been named PSAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Veara shot a one-under-par 143 to take medalist honors at the Cardinal Fall Classic. She fired a 68 (-4) in the first round and added a 75 (+3) in the final round. The Rams finished in fifth place.
